Unprofessional
I scheduled a tour for 10:30 AM and arrived exactly at 10:29, which I even pointed out on my phone. Instead of honoring my scheduled appointment, Avery decided to take another couple first because he “wasn’t sure if I was coming.”
I never canceled my appointment.
If someone has a scheduled tour, the professional thing to do is acknowledge that they’re on time and honor the appointment. Walk-ins should not take priority over someone who reserved a specific time. That’s basic customer service... .
That interaction told me everything I needed to know about how this community values prospective residents, let alone it’s tenants.
Beyond that, the property itself was an easy pass. It’s an older community showing its age despite the marketing. Because it’s built directly within The Streets at SouthGlenn, many of the apartments either face the busy shopping center or the interior pool. That means constant foot traffic, cars, restaurant activity, kids, and weekend nightlife. If you value peace, quiet, or privacy, this isn’t the place for you.
The pricing also doesn’t make sense considering the location and condition of the property. There are newer communities nearby that offer a much better overall experience and significantly more professional leasing staff.
First impressions matter, and mine couldn’t have been worse. Management should seriously evaluate how appointments are handled because treating people with respect costs nothing.
I walked away and immediately crossed Portola at SouthGlenn off my list.
And Avery feels like a sleazy car salesman with his sales tactics.
