Amenity info outdated

The apartments themselves are nice, but the amenities have gone downhill since the renovations. The pool and sauna are gone, along with the pool table and ping-pong table. While there is still a gym, it has fewer machines than before. I wouldn't call any room in the building a "clubhouse." The common area got much smaller in general, because they created new apartment units in what used to be shared amenity space.

Red Peak sucks

We like our apartment and the large balcony is what made us move here. Unfortunately, our building has been a construction site for over a year. Our water is constantly turned off with little notice. If you work remotely, you will hear jackhammers and fire alarm testing all day. As of today, there is no proper way to access the building. The front and side entrances are closed. You need to climb over bulldozed rock and cross an active construction zone to access the back alley. Not sure of the... legality of this situation.

I’ve reached out to Red Peak and they are uncooperative. They did give us a free Red Robin hamburger once for our troubles.

PS. The reviews about the old landlord that interrogates tenants who come home late at night are outdated. There used to be an older crowd in the building and many of them revolted when Red Peak bought the building and left. i thought they were overreacting, but I get it now. There also used to be a pool, but Red Peak didn’t pay the city permit so they closed it.

** Don't rent here ! ! ! ! **

If you like being ignored by a greedy, uncaring management company, rent here. If you like having your maintenance requests discarded, rent here. If you like having vagrants and thieves walk right into the underground parking garage and laundry room (because the door is stuck open!), rent here. If you like having your water shut off with zero notice, rent here. If you like not knowing if you'll actually have hot water, rent here. If you like having the upstairs unit flood your bathroom,... rent here. If you like not having a/c on the hottest days, rent here. If you like the 50-50 chance that you will or won't have heat in the winter (with space heaters that blow the breakers...), rent here. If you like having fire alarms going off and having to walk down many flights of stairs, rent here. If you like waiting 10-15-20 minutes for an elevator, rent here.
If you yourself have to tell the responding firemen the new number for management (and still get a full voicemail box), rent here. If you like having dangerous cracks on the balcony that scare you from using it, rent here.

Of the two dozen fellow tenants I've talked to, not one is renewing their lease. Oh, and did I mention the bigly rent increase when the new owners took over?

Stay away

This apartment is in a great location and the apartments themselves look nice, but buyer beware. In the last month alone, we were without washers and dryers for a week (and when they took them away, they had no idea when they would be replaced), the water shut off from 9-5 more than once trying to replace the new washers, a broken hot water heater - which led to THREE days without hot water - and they took the time to "compare prices", offering no form of money back in return, and a broken... garage door - I pay $90 a month for my garage spot. Management is less than apologetic. This place is falling down around us and it's something new every week. I pay way too much money for this to be normal. Don't sign the lease.
