Not what I expected
I moved into this community about 15 days ago, and I have mixed feelings about my experience.
The community itself is nice, and the leasing office staff has always been polite and friendly. I do think the property has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately, the apartment I received was not move-in ready. I expected maybe some dust or minor cleaning, but instead I found rat urine and droppings behind the refrigerator, behind and underneath the washer and dryer, underneath and inside the stove, glass... and hair inside the dishwasher, and hair inside the refrigerator. Since I was moving from out of town, I didn’t inspect every detail during the walk-through. I did mention there was a strong smell, but I was told it was because the breakers stay off while vacant units are empty.
After moving in, I let the office know about my concerns. They offered to have housekeeping come back, which I appreciated, but I chose to clean it myself. As I cleaned, I realized how much had been missed. The property gave me a $50 concession, but it didn’t come close to covering the cost of the cleaning supplies or the time it took to deep clean and disinfect the apartment. I’m still waiting on a few maintenance items to be completed from my time of move in.
Overall, I think this community has potential, but I highly recommend asking to see your actual apartment before move-in and inspecting it carefully. I’ve attached photos of the condition the apartment was in when I received the keys so others can make an informed decision.
