Groton Estates

I recently lived in the Groton Estates complex for 3 and a half years and enjoyed my time while I was there. I had an upgraded apartment which came with a dishwasher, nice wood cabinets, new appliances, and a more high-end looking bathroom with a tiled shower and sink cabinet. The living room is very spacious and there's lots of closet space! The leading office staff are very knowledgable and courteous. The only negatives I have (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars) are the walls between... apartments in the building are very thin - I could hear my downstairs and across-the-hall neighbors from my living room and kitchen (and occasionally my bedroom if they were really loud) when they talked and/or shouted/yelled or one of the neighbors' kids had a temper tantrum or meltdown. I understand for convenience why either USPS chose to do this or management had them do this, but I also wasn't super fond of the fact that most packages would be delivered to the office, which meant I could only pick them up during lease office hours - thankfully I get out work early enough that I could pick the packages up on the same day, but I know not everyone has that convenience with their schedule or commute. No laundry in-unit either. Besides the small negatives, I was very happy with the apartment. Groton Estates: A great safe place to live, with great apartments with affordable rent, great management, great maintenance staff and great neighbors!

My name is Tony Sutton, my wife and I lived at Groton Estates from June 2012 until May 2018.

Our overall experience was great, the 1st things I was impressed with was the clean remodeled apartments with energy efficient windows, fire safety equipment, square footage and the quick responsiveness and professinalism of the maintenance staff.

At... 1st there was an issue with snow removal but the new management team streamlined an efficient process and hired responsive contractors with the correct amount of workers to handle a facility of this size. So problem solved!

The management staff was always friendly, quickly answered questions and addressed issues. Even provided a safe place in their office to have packages delivered which prevented theft. Also management kept tenants informed of general events or policies, scheduled inpections, fire and pest control thru notices placed under our doors and by emails.

In related matters of safety from criminal elements, management had a lock installed on our rear entry door at my fellow tenant's request. This showed great care and concern.

In my experience, Groton Estates attracts great family oriented tenants, all of whom I have a great neighborly relationships with, some I became great friends with, but overall mutual respect and common courtesy was a mainstay even as neighbors come and go.

I would recommend Groton Estates as a great safe place to live, with great apartments with affordable rent, great management, great maintenance staff and great neighbors, located near I95, local shopping centers, police station and town hall, schools, college, public park and beach.

Extremely unprofessional and unscrupulous business practice. Accustomed to taking advantage of tenants who are unaware of the housing guidelines.

I am currently living here. I've got 10 months left in my lease. This place is a joke. They're untrustworthy and are unprofessional. If you ask them a question during conversation, they hysterically laugh at you. I lived here a few years back and it was fine. At this time I do not recommend this place.
