Claremont

I've lived in 2 different Claremont apartments over 30 years. I love living here. People marvel at my my apartment's spaciousness, light, hardwood floors and high ceilings, and working fireplace. I have so much closet space that I've never used my storage unit in the basement.

I'm a half block from the Yale shuttle and can walk to my office at Yale in 25 minutes.

My apartment is a mystical, peaceful place to call home. The C shaped brick building dates from the 1920's and is solidly built. Yes, that means you don't hear your neighbors and the rooms are spacious and square with interesting different built-ins in each apartment. I even have a working fireplace! There is lots of light as there are copious windows in every room that either look out onto the circular drive in the front that encloses a courtyard with a weeping willow and flowers or the... ones on the back that open onto the greenery of the trees. The mix of people living here ranges from singles and young families to retirees - a great blend.
