This building used to be wonderful until the new management company Borger took over and assigned a new property manager. Chiconda is disorganized, a poor communicator, and does not operate this building with the residents best interests at heart.
There are numerous issues now in this building, including:
Tenants smoking cigarettes in their units and common areas(with apparent impunity) Homeless people wandering in/out at all times of the day and night Frequent water shut offs with no notice... given, often for 8+ hours at a time Fire alarms in the middle of the night Large rent increases
This building is not safe, and good luck getting Chiconda or Borger to do anything about it. If I want to get a response out of the property manager I usually have to send 3 or 4 emails, and resort to CCing Chiconda's manager (who also never responds).
Totally unprofessional and dangerous situation here. AVOID

A Gem
You will not find a better apartment in the DC area. The management is on top of everything and is always so friendly and caring. Plus, the place is just beautiful, my wife is in love with the aesthetic of the building. Looking forward to another year at The Archer!
