La Jolla Cove Apartments

My one bedroom apt was perfect for me. It was upgraded and aesthetically appealing. It was close to work and it took me several weeks to even find it. But from the start, the management company of the apt was horrible to work with. They charge random fees for things such as staging/clean-up. They lied that the place, which was empty for months, would be cleaned before I moved in. There was food still caked on the stove and microwave and the floors were dusty and a bit grimy. At th time of my... lease signing, I was told that the garbage disposal didn't work but that I should just submit a work order for it. So, if you know it doesn't work, why wouldn't you fix it BEFORE I moved in? Hmmm. About 8 months into living there, the refrigerator stopped working. It took them 2 days to respond to my work order and 7 days to replace it. HOW ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION WITHOUT A FRIDGE?!?! Worse yet, I lost $$$100s worth of food without even a genuine apology for the trouble or added costs. I get random emails on occasion from them asking for a favorable review. I have yet to respond. If it weren't for the quiet nature of the community and kind neighbors, I would have been gone a long time ago. Lee mas
