Element at Tempe North Apartamentos

I have come across a lot apartment managers, but I must admit that Cassandra surpasses them all. She is kind-hearted and very welcoming. This is a place for anyone who wants a piece of mind.

After searching all over for something my friend and I could afford that wasn’t run down and dated, we finally came across our new home. This place is right in the middle of it all, a quick ride to campus or Mill and for way less than our friends are paying at other places. Place was just renovated, clean and all new stuff, very happy over here.

I've lived at this location for approx. 3 years before ZENDOOR took over, it wasn't the greatest but for the price in Tempe... doable. Ever since ZENDOOR took over the place has went downhill. I had constant anxiety living here because of ongoing construction, sketchy people hanging around in common areas, and the constant fear of my car being towed because ZENDOOR is so tow happy. Drugs and roaches everywhere with nonexistent management.

A new management company "Zendoor" bought this property and it all went downhill from there. You cannot get in touch with a live person. There is no communication from the management company except cookie cutter pre-typed responses via email. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I will not renew my lease and will be leaving asap. AVOID at all cost. They do NOT answer phone calls and instead refer you to email support. HERE'S THE BEST PART: The email support doesn't answer. I'm not one to... usually complain about not being able to speak to "a live person" but we're talking about housing here. Lee mas

Upon first moving in I met the manager Charles who’s the son-in-law of the owner Robert. When I first walked right away I see a baby roach crawling on the floor! I pointed it out to Charles & asked him if there’s roaches here. He kills it & says “the roaches are eradicated“. I was a bit worried but he came off as a very friendly, outgoing & honest guy.
Within the 1st Week the AC broke & this was in JULY. I told them the issue w/ the AC, they didnt make it a priority to come check & when they... did they’d rudely tell me nothing was wrong for 4 weeks. FINALLY after over a month, I informed the OWNER, he told me he’d hire a diff. handyman & the new guy actually admitted that YES it was broken & they had to replace the ENTIRE Ac unit!

In the mean time roaches are appearing more, as Months went on it just got WORSE, they’d come spray on the 15th every month. I would talk to Terminix & they’d explain that it wasn’t Terminexs fault, they said Tempe North didn’t want to do a full “clean out” they only want to do small sections of sprays at a time & they confirmed that it would never get rid of the problem but rather just save the apts money.
Living here traumatized me, there were roaches in the fridge, Feeling baby roaches crawl up your legs when you’re sleeping, Every other day there’d be heavy thick trails of roach poop along the sinks,counters etc. I couldn’t eat. It was so bad, I didn’t even move in the whole place-living room & all 3 rooms empty. I’d Complain & bring up that it still hasn’t been fixed & it’s been 9months etc. they’d try to blame me.

I was fed up w/ paying rent on an apt that I couldn’t live a normal life In cause I work from home.
When I asked on the last month if they’d reimburse me ANY money for the month w/o AC & roach infestations for a FULL YEAR- which isn’t legal, Charles replied w/ “The roaches are your fault, you never let terminix spray”.
I sent him all the text msgs of proof of every month of the past yr that He texted me asking for “my permission for terminix to enter to spray today” & I’d reply w/ “Yes” EVERY MONTH!
I had proof & so did he yet he ignored me when I sent screen shots of every month confirming.
