Wouldn't Recommend - Lots of Bugs to Workout
We’ve been here pretty much since they started leasing apartments and we have only been more and more disappointed the longer we’ve been here. We understand that moving to a new community could come with some kinks in the system. Our bigger issue is that we are paying premium pricing for a “luxury apartment”… except we never get to have any luxuries.
Here are some of the issues we’ve experienced…
- The fire alarms go off NONSTOP. They go off almost every week, sometimes all day long (off and... on). We actually just said to each other yesterday that we’re a little nervous because we’ve been trained to ignore the fire alarms so we won’t know if it’s a real emergency.
- Maintenance requests are often ignored. We had mold growing between our window panes and reported it same day it was noticed. Took them over 4 months to address it. We’ve also had other requests closed out without anyone addressing it or notifying us.
- The leasing office staff will make up rules on the spot that don’t align with the leasing agreement (happens ALL THE TIME)
- There are almost 10 total community spaces, but if you have a group of more than 4 people they will kick you out. This is not stated anywhere in the lease agreement. Now they want to charge you to use the space if you have more than 2-4 guests. Sooo the space that we already pay for in community dues can only be used if we now pay an additional hourly rate (also not indicated in the lease agreement)
- They aren’t clear about how they will charge various utilities and expenses (they almost double charged us for a few monthly fees). We were told you get one parking space per person on the lease, then at time to sign they dropped notice that it would be $125 per space. We specifically asked these questions.
We could go on and on, but the main point is that if you move here be ready to pay top tier pricing for a bottom of the barrel experience. We recommend waiting until prices drop well below market value or looking elsewhere. Now we just wait out our lease :/
