Crown Point Apts

This is a great 20-unit community for someone that is looking for the Pacific Beach scenery, without the Pacific Beach party noise! Unlike most of the student-infested apartments in the area, most residents living here is are working professionals and keep to themselves. The grounds are well-maintained and the small courtyard is beautifully landscaped. The Manager, who lives onsite, is very prompt in handling maintenance requests and/or mitigating issues. Each unit comes with a parking spot or... two, depending on unit size, and there is an onsite laundry room.

In regard to the unit (mine was 1x1), two words: square footage. It's just so rare in Pacific Beach, but I comfortably fit a 4ppl dining table in the kitchen area, large sofa-sectional in the living room and a queen bed in the bedroom, along with all other essential furniture! Also most units enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and a good-size balcony!

HOWEVER, it's hard to enjoy the space and scenery when everything in the apartment is SO old. From the carpet to the bathroom fixtures, to the kitchen cabinetry, countertops and appliances. Though minor "fixes" have been done, mainly to the closet and balcony doors, there are no major upgrade or renovation plans in the near future.

Despite all this, I still believe this is a unique apartment community for this area and would recommend it to a friend on a budget. The combination of price location size is unbeatable, as long as you can overlook the expired interior! Lee mas
