As the very proud owners of a very sweet and slightly chubby pitbull mix, our options in terms of renting in DC were basically non-existent. Every building we looked at, and we looked at dozens upon dozens, had extensive breed restrictions. By the time we found our current apartment - the first we saw without breed or weight restrictions - our criteria for approval going in was basically "does it have walls."

Luckily, it did. It also has:
- a completely renovated kitchen,
- crown molding/hard... wood floors,
- four bus stops within a one block radius,
- a phenomenal view of the National Cathedral (literally across the street),
- a grocery store/CVS two blocks away,
- a slew of restaurants walking-distance away (including 2 Amy's, yum), and
- a private park/garden for residents, which includes normal park things (lounge chairs, grills, flowers) and...a dog run!

Plus, our neighborhood is full of other big dog/"bully breed" owners, which means the added bonus of getting to see Great Dane puppies learning to wobble and lots of fluffy German Shepherds/Huskies. Needless to say, we lucked out massively, and highly recommend the building to anyone else with malaligned pets. Lee mas
