This building is not managed well
1-Star Review for The Iris Apartments
My experience has been a nightmare since June 2025, and now, it’s January 2026, there’s still no resolution.
Management has utterly failed to address ongoing issues. On the 4th floor there’s constant trash left in the hallways (there has even been dog poop and pee) and people will just drop their trash and food on the floor in the trash room, leading to bugs and pests. Kids run the hallways at night screaming, dogs are often off-leash running the hallway,... making the environment chaotic and unsafe.
The building’s maintenance is equally horrendous. The parking garage has been broken and unsecured for months, yet we still pay $300 a month for parking that isn’t secure. It’s unfair and unacceptable. To make matters worse, management doesn’t want to address the issue and compensate all the people who pay for parking. They selectively offer free parking to residents who only complain, it’s almost like hush money.
Additionally, there’s frequent drug usage throughout the building, and the hallways and elevators often reek of marijuana and cigarettes, which only adds to the unpleasant living conditions.
Despite numerous emails and calls, management has continuously passed me from one person to another, leaving me without real solutions. We discussed a unit transfer, since I have a 2 year lease, but it’s obvious that management is not wanting to work with me.
One manager offered a unit transfer for the online price in June, but it was a wheelchair accessible unit, so I couldn’t get that unit. I was told when another unit becomes available I could get that unit. I asked to move into a similar unit at the same price as a negotiation but management declined my offer.
Well another unit, the same layout just not wheelchair accessible, became available in December and they offered it to me but now they want to add $400 more a month, and they stated this is their “final offer”. I brought up the previous price give and even sent a screenshot of the email, but it’s been 2 weeks and I still haven’t even got a response.
It’s clear that The Iris markets itself as luxury living but fails to deliver on that promise. I strongly advise anyone considering The Iris to look elsewhere. The stress, poor management, and lack of communication simply make living here not worth it. If all you care about is selfies on the roof, this place may be for you.
Also I forgot to mention that there’s shooting right outside the front door at 2M Street al
