Sweetwater

Sweetwater is terrible, if you can run as fast as you can. I don't even know where to start. Since I have moved in it's been nothing but work orders after work orders. My apartment was not ready to live in at all. It was so dirty while moving in, had to clean up after the people who lived there before me. The apartments look nothing like the pictures or video tours. If you try to connect South Oxford yourself, they will say we will tell Chris (regional manager) and tell him to call you, and he... never does. This place is terrible. Lee mas

Where do I even begin with the problems I’ve had with this complex?
My number one issue with Sweetwater is the noise levels. Aside from the shooting range right next to the apartment that goes off from 9am to 4pm, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything from your neighbors. I lived in a one-bedroom apartment and heard every footstep from my upstairs neighbors. Needless to say, I had to wear headphones to block out the noises almost 24/7. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, it... was terrible. So if you are sensitive to noise, PLEASE stay away.

The next issue I had with this complex was the A/C. I understand that it is Florida and it gets hot here, making the A/C easy to break. However, each and every time I’d do laundry, the A/C would go out for hours after. The day I moved in, the A/C didn’t work. I think I had maintenance come in here about 6 times over the course of my one year lease for A/C issues. Also, if you like hot showers, don’t count on the water staying hot for more than 10 minutes.

Don’t pay overpriced rent for this complex. I have no positive things to say about Sweetwater. Save your money and your sanity. Lee mas

The only reason we are giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the apartment wasn't properly cleaned prior to giving us the keys. The carpets were dirty and matted, the kitchen floor was sticky and ruined a pair of my white pants, and the kitchen cabinets were sticky. It was like the last people moved out and we were handed keys. I know the office said that the normal people who do the cleaning weren't available so they used someone else but that "someone else" did a horrific job. No one likes... moving in to a dirty feeling place.

Gio and Katie were both very sweet and the paper process was painless. We are still waiting on a few items from the initial walk through to be corrected but overall, it has been fine. We have had our keys for a week and will be fully moved in by this weekend. The biggest downside seems to be the chimney that we have for downstairs neighbors which makes enjoying our upstairs screened patio less than enjoyable but it is an apartment complex so what can you do. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The management office is top notch, kind, helpful and every informative! The apartments are beautiful as well as the grounds. If your looking for a good community to live in this is the place!

I lived at this complex for over a year. The manager, Valerie, is so nice. Any problems we have had (which have been few) she has taken care of right away. The maintenance is very nice and shows up RIGHT AWAY to help with anything. There's always someone on-call for odd hours and weekends for urgent issues. (Like leaking, ac breaking etc.). The complex is extremely quiet. We have maybe had ONE semi-noisy neighbor in over a year. And we called rhe courtesy officer and they took care of it. They... NEARLY ALWAYS return your calls right away. Yes, the rent is a little high for the area, but it definitely ties into these things I mentioned. Hope this helps! Lee mas
