Golfview Rental Apartments

Infested with roaches. laundry rooms with broken machines always. Management administration? Doesn't not exist. You are exposed to be mistreated if you ask for any repairs in your apartment like broken a/c, broken faucets, broken toilets, etc. No pool. Fitting room with roaches. High speed internet? where?.Dishwasher? where? in their fantasies. Keep away of this terrible property. You will regret it.

Have been a tenant at Golfview since 2011 and unfortunately this will be my last year. Used to be a quiet area accept for the occasional noise from Hollywood arts park but now with the new development being constructed across the street, it is just too much! 6 days a week starting at 7am and ending at 5...never a quiet moment. There used to be a pool which has been removed and used to be a nice view of the park which has now been blocked by the new condo. Price is good, management is sweet and... maintenance is usually on point, but being and old building with no central air in south Florida is an ideal environment for MOLD! And I believe this place has it in the walls. No matter how much you clean, vacuum, dust your furniture and walls, it just keeps coming back. And several neighbors have complained about having this issue as well. I had to throw out shoes and clothes because of this. Very aggravating!!! Just a warning to those who may be thinking of renting from here. Save yourself the aggravation. Lee mas

I like this building. It's not bad, not great. For the price, it's decent. It's quiet except for the construction noise 6 days a week. For the price, it is not bad, except for a few things. When they remodeled years ago, they did not finish the walls behind the cabinets in the kitchen. I've talked to other people that also have gaping holes in their walls behind the stove and cabinets. Whoever was working on the remodel was obviously extremely lazy. Laying on the floor with a flashlight, I can... see the one gap is at least 16" high and at the widest point it is at least 1.5" wide - !!! Can you imagine what can walk through that size of space?!? The only way to seal the openings up and properly fix it would be to tear out the cabinets and do it properly, which will never happen here.

Lately, I have seen too many roaches, different sizes. I used to only see the occasional roach if I got home late. In the past month, I've seen at least 5 during the evening or early morning. Just had to kill a big one after work this week around 7pm. So gross. I am super clean, don't leave dirty dishes or food out and constantly clean the kitchen and bathroom. The exterminator comes and I spray myself, but I've heard roaches become resistant.

It's an old building, but not bad. No central AC. Pretty basic like the last reviewer said. When people move out, they need to spend a little time and money fixing the walls behind the stoves and cabinets that the lazy awful renovation people left undone before new tenants move in. Lee mas

Golfview Apartments is an older building and most of the apartments were renovated in 2009. It is not the cleanest building I've lived in, but they make an effort to keep up, generally speaking. The management office lady is pleasant and always addresses whatever issue you are having in a reasonable amount of time. They do screen people and most of the people that live here seem to be decent normal people that work or are retired. They do allow pets and pet people tend to be a bit cooler in... general than people that are not fond of pets. :)

There is a fence around the building, so strangers cannot just walk up and enter the building. There is no way to 'buzz' people in, so when you have guests, you have to go to the front or rear gate to let them in.

The floorplan of the one bedroom is laid out nicely and a comfortable size for one person, even comfortable for a couple. The kitchens are very basic, old-style ring burner stove, basic sink, formica countertops and plenty of cabinet space. Comfortable sized bathroom. The bedrooms have a spacious walk-in closet and fit a queen set with space to walk around. The apartments are tile floors throughout, no carpet.

Many of the apartments have super old air conditioners, but mine work fine. Many residents complain that when it storms and the wind and rain are hitting South, the rain water comes right in the front door, in some apartments worse than others. If the storm is heavy and the winds are heavy South it does come pouring in my front door.

It has typically been a quiet building and a quiet neighborhood (other than when they have bands playing at the park). The only real annoyance these days is no fault of Golfview Apartments. It is the extremely awful noise from the construction site across the street. They start at 7am, EVEN ON SATURDAYS - !!!!! SOOOOO annoying!!!!! A huge 30-something story building is being built that will block our current view of the park. The noise is truly terrible. I feel badly for anyone that has any kind of night job.

Other than that, it is your basic apartment building. Not much to complain about other than the ugly noisy construction. I have been very comfortable living here. Lee mas
