The Park at Chelsea Apartamentos

I moved into a townhouse at the Park of Chelsea Arms after a hurricane, seeking stability—but it’s been nothing but frustration. From day one, communication with the office and leasing staff has been virtually nonexistent. They’re unresponsive and don’t follow through, leaving residents feeling ignored.

I was promised a remodeled unit with new floors and upgraded appliances, all for $1,800/month plus fees. I regret accepting the keys without a final walkthrough—it quickly became clear the unit... didn’t meet expectations.

There was a persistent stench of human waste, even after supposed floor replacement. Air fresheners and absorbers didn’t help. A leak soon caused black mold in the garage. Though eventually resolved, it raised serious concerns about safety.

When I asked if the unit had been cleaned, I was told it got only “surface and light cleaning.” I found human waste residues along cabinets and heavy spider infestations—clear signs of inadequate cleaning.

Despite multiple attempts, my messages to the leasing office have gone unanswered. The property is reportedly shifting between different management companies, adding to the instability and lack of accountability.

Outdoor areas are unsafe, especially for children—broken glass in the front yard, roof debris in the back, and an exposed utility box with an open hole nearly a foot deep. The yard could be usable for family activities, but not without serious cleanup and repair.

The only positive experience has been with the maintenance team. They’ve been prompt, professional, and even apologized, admitting the unit’s condition was mishandled.

Don’t hesitate to write honest reviews. The property owner needs to hear what’s really happening. Residents deserve transparency and professionalism—none of which are present here.

If you get an “I’m sorry,” it’s likely just damage control. Don’t let them intimidate you into silence. You have every right to share your experience truthfully. Lee mas

Keep your money in your pocket this place is terrible they don’t fix nothing at,all the fancy looking appliances you see in pictures,almost everyone in here has out dated ones. Sometimes pest control shows up but they always leave a card saying they did , even when they don’t. If you don’t hear them knock on the screen door they say you’re not home even though they can ring the doorbell but choose not to. Maintenance did fix the dishwasher but broke floor tiles in the process and never came... back to replace them , oh and of course the mold it’s in the walls all they did is just paint over it but of course now the paint is so old it’s chipping off and now you can see the mold on the walls and what color the walls use to be before it was just painted over. ac breaks all the time and the wooden steps are rotting can’t even go on the back patio cause I don’t feel safe but not to mention the outrageous fees you have to pay for stupid things. Pool is always being closed the list goes on so do yourself a favor just don’t do it if you have another options. management maintenance everyone who is supposed to run this place suck. when it comes to customer service They always blame the tenants and speak to us like we’re children oh but not to mention if u live here and you want to move apartments cause they have been harassing us with emails about apartments they have open, you have to pay just to transfer your lease to live in the same place but maybe 5 houses down. for you to type a different address onto my lease is crazy now I get it you should pay some type of fee but not 300, the first and last and deposit ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone not even someone I hated even though they have changed management several times now it still seems to be money hungry rude people who keep getting put here according to reviews everywhere really this place has had a problem for almost 10 years now. Do not move here. This place is an overpriced ROACH, BLACK MOLD AND FLEA INFESTED DUMP with unprofessional money hungry management

I am completely disgusted with the manager. She has no customer service experience. She treats tenants like their kids like we're the ones that are wrong all the time. I pay my rent every month and don't deserve to be treated like a charity case. The manager is a liar and a conniving person. I would like to put a formal complaint against her but I can't get any owner information. The townhouses are nice but I would rather deal with somebody more professional then a stank attitude from the... manager. Her name is Shauna. I referred several people but because of her attitude I can't wait till my lease is over and I told everybody else don't even think about moving there. Only because of her she's got the worst attitude.That attitude got to go. Lee mas

My wife and I recently moved here and love it. The ladies in the office made things so easy for us and walked us through each step of the way and went above and beyond to cover all the bases and make things smooth for us. We were a little apprehensive because we couldn't view our townhome before moving in but it turned out perfect.. we love our new home and our kids love the place too. I work in a profession where customer service and integrity go a long way and they definetely showed both to us... during the whole moving in process and since we have lived here too. We had a couple small maintenance items after we moved in that were addressed as soon as we called and all of the staff has been awesome to us every time we interact with them. This is honestly the best place we have ever lived and we would definetely recommend this place to our family and friends. Lee mas
