Avanti Condominiums

I recently moved to Avanti and the neighbors are quiet and friendly and so is Butch and Jim who manage the common areas. Currently repaint and fixing the buildings and it looks really nice. Also replacing old shrubbery with new. I love the condo itself; the layouts are fantastic.

I've lived here for 2 years now as an owner and it's not the best place I've lived but it's not the worst. The closeness of everything (Publix, highways, etc) is great but the upkeep and maintenance of the community needs to be better. Since I moved in, the water gets shut off pretty much once a month for some reason, not sure what they're working on but if you work from home expect that 1-2 a month from 9am-11am/12pm. The office isn't super helpful when trying to find information and/or when... neighbors are being bothersome. They will give you a vague answer and tell you to call JSO's non-emergency line...
The parking is also not great. 1 spot per unit and visitor parking is almost always full.
I have a fire or water system outside my unit and for the first 6 months I lived there maintenance would come whenever and work on it (no notice to me, even though it would scare the crap out of me). There was drilling and sawing with no notice. The earliest they ever came was 5 am on a Saturday... again with no notice.
When I first moved in it seemed to be a nice place for families and working adults, but it seems to have gone downhill with renters who don't have common courtesy for others living there.
If you can find somewhere else, do it. Lee mas

Overall, Avanti is a nice complex. For what you pay for the apartments you get a lot of space. I am in a 2/2 and it's a wonderful floor plan to have some space from your roommate.
The amenities could be better. They have a pool that's pretty small in size and a small gym. One of the machines has been broken for a while and hasn't been fixed.
The condos are induvidally owned so I've heard great stories about amazing landlord and horror stories. It's different for every apartment. I got a great... one so my experience hasn't been too bad!
Although, the biggest complaint I have is some of the neighbors are rude and the matience man, Rodney is not a nice person. He picks his favorites then everyone else he doesn't work with. But, if you stay away from him and follow the rules then it shouldn't be a problem.
Overall, my apartment is wonderful the only complaints are on the grounds and amenities part. Lee mas
