Nice at first
The property itself is nice and we haven’t had many direct issues with office staff or neighbors. However, you get charged for much more here than in other places in my experience.
On top of paying for your own bills like water, gas, and the required “valet trash”, you also get billed every month from for the community lights (the lights around the property), gas (used for the community grills in the courtyard), and even sewage and trash pickup.
Parking at the complex is horrendous. Most of... the spots are either marked “Reserved” or are covered carport parking, both of which is an additional $25-$50 per month if you’d like to rent one. You don't have to rent a space, but if not, hopefully you don’t like parking anywhere near your actual unit or even building sometimes. It’s frustrating when you and your neighbors have to park wherever you can find a spot, but then walk past a dozen spots marked “reserved” that are not rented by anyone.
The valet trash service is a joke. It’s a mandatory $15 per month to put your trash at your front door and have it picked up (in theory anyway). There’s a list of items the third party valet trash service won’t take which is understandable however one of those “items” are ripped trash bags. More times than not, my trash bags have been ripped by the people trying to take it out of the little plastic can at my front door, and instead of doing anything about it, they put the bag back in the can and leave it there for me to take care of. When I’ve brought these concerns up to staff, they only say it’s up to the third party service what they do and there’s nothing the complex can do about it.
Lastly, when some of these concerns were brought to the offices’ attention, and we politely said that some of these issues make us not want to renew our lease, we were told that we didn’t have to.
I’ll give credit where it’s due, the complex and maintenance seem to be on top of things that need to be fixed or known problems / issues within the units. Overall I don’t regret living here but I’m sure there’s better AND CHEAPER options out there. I definitely don’t plan on renewing my lease.
