Colonial East Apartments

If you are looking for an apartment close to SIU but don't want to live in the "crowded" part of town this is a good option. Close to shopping as well.

Very basic. Mid-sized rooms (the bathroom might be a little small for roommates or families) with neutral walls and flooring. Nothing too ugly here. Retro kitchens in some units though! Good amount of closet space.

However there are no updated features like w/d or dishwasher or even newer/nicer finishes. Also, no private outdoor space.

This... is a quiet complex. I made a noise complaint once and management handled it, and even checked back in with me in a few weeks. They are also great at taking care of repairs and have been making exterior upgrades like fencing in trash receptacles and landscaping.

I have lived here for two years, but am not planning on renewing my lease in the coming year because I would like some upgrades. But, this is probably the lowest rent for a 2 bedroom in this area. Lee mas
