Birchwood Manor Apartments

I lived her about 4.5 years. First couple of years, I liked it because it's a pet-friendly building, and I loved sayi g I live on the lake. Here's the real story. I find the landlord gouges tenants with excessive fees (e.g. dog rent. Cat rent, charges tenants $200 to have a window ac set in the window). Yup that does NOT include the ac. Hat is of course every summer! Laundry machines are often broken (3 w/d for 20 units) snow is typically not shoveled, no hot water in kitchen the entire... time I lived there, I oftentimes slept in my coat in the wintertime, mold in the unit, numerous ceiling leaks which were just taped up to leak again in a few months, ceiling plaster fell. And he's way over market for the condition of that building. Two stars because building maintenance is a joke. They used duct tape on the inside of my oven to affix the door, as well as duct taped the window to the frame. So much for "hands on." On a positive note, most of the tenants were really nice. Also, a ton of pit bulls live in that building since a lot of other places ban them. He also jacks up the rent every year with no upgrades in any services. Glad to be out! Lee mas
