Ant and roach infested buildings. No matter how clean you keep your apartment, an ungodly trail of ants will always be crawling around. I almost crashed my car because I saw a trail of ants coming from my FRESHLY WASHED jacket as I was driving. I pay for a RESERVED pass ($75/mo) and my car was still towed FROM MY RESERVED SPOT. Only half of the washers/dryers ever work at a time, and they don’t work well. $3.50 for a half-done wash and $3 for smelly dryers. Management/leasing NEVER answers the... phone- you must go over to the leasing office where you’ll be met with annoyed gazes as if your presence is an inconvenience. Half of the residents are college students with remarkably poor hygiene, so the buildings smell like sweaty underarms or strong spices. PLEASE, for your mental health and sanity, RENT ELSEWHERE. I lived at Prairie Shores for quite some time and, unfortunately, my experience ended on a very disappointing note. After moving out, I received a charge for door repair, which I believe was mistakenly applied. I reached out to request detailed documentation supporting this charge. While Prairie Shores initially responded and assured me they would follow up, I never received the requested information despite sending multiple follow-up emails. Rather than addressing my concerns or providing... clarification, the charge was forwarded to a collections agency.

The collection agency, IQ Data International, contacted me with what they called a "courtesy call" before proceeding with collections. During this call, I explained the situation and the reason for the delayed payment. However, their representative informed me that my only option was to "pay in protest." To make matters worse, I was pressured to make the payment immediately during that call, without being afforded even a single day to review the matter or seek further clarification.

I am incredibly disappointed with Prairie Shores’ lack of transparency, communication, and accountability in handling this issue. Additionally, the high-pressure tactics employed by the collection agency felt unfair and unprofessional. This experience has been both frustrating and distressing, and I strongly urge Prairie Shores to improve their processes for addressing tenant concerns and disputes. Lee mas

By far the worst place I have ever lived in 40 years! Cockroaches, low water pressure, laundry is hit or miss if the machines work, security it practically worthless, and the leasing staff is rude, incompetent, and lazy. 9 months in and I still don't have all the services that I'm required to pay for. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

You literally have to beg them to pay attention to you. I don’t understand what the leasing agent’s job here is. Don’t waste your time here.

I had an appointment which I was late to, due to being new to the city. An agent still attended me and sent me a virtual tour, and also told me to email her back so she could put me into her tour schedule the next day. I did so. She didn’t answer until the next day, then proceeded to simply ask me the same question she had already previously asked me.... Finally, she asked what day would work for a tour. I suggested the next day again. She emails back saying it’s full, and if the next day would work. I said yes! Whatever times works for you, I’m in…
No answer. Next day comes, I follow up. No answer.
Next day comes. Email her and the leasing office. No answer. Called the leasing office 3 different days, over 5 different times, all at different times. No answer. I mean… just exactly what do you do at work? Lee mas

They turned off the heat for a few days in one of the most coldest days of this past winter. Poor management service.
