Great Location, Fantastic Management
From move-in to move-out, my experience renting from The L was excellent. The only reason I moved away was because I had purchased a home. The following is a breakdown of what I enjoyed most about living at The L.
1. Location
If you are interested in downtown living in Raleigh, The L is in a great spot. Everything is within walking distance, so you're able to enjoy all that downtown has to offer without having to hassle with parking. In fact, the Red Hat Amphitheater is literally right... around the corner, so if you enjoy concert-going, I'm not sure if you could find a more convenient location to live.
2. Building
The apartments and building are very well kept. The parking deck is huge so you won't have any issues finding a spot for your car. It is also patrolled regularly by security which is nice for peace of mind. I always felt safe and I never had any issues with break-ins.
3. Mangement
This is where The L really shines. While the entire management team is great, I have to specifically commend Star Summers, who was the primary property manager while I lived there. She cares about her residents and does a great job doing what she can to ensure that they are taken care of. In stark contrast to my experience with other property managers that I have dealt with in the past, who often seemed bothered or indifferent during interactions, Star always provided excellent customer service and was a pleasure to speak with. If I had to choose one aspect of The L that I was most impressed with, I would say that it is the management.
