He serves as the Broker of Record and Managing Member of Pott Real Estate LLC and serves as President of Trenton Makes Inc. He is an active agent for commercial Landlords and investors, lives in the Mill Hill Historic District in Trenton NJ and you can find him training for triathlons on local roads and canal paths. He got his start in the real estate business by financing and opening a hip, arts-oriented restaurant called the Urban Word Cafe in 1999. He then developed and built out several adjacent properties into entertainment retail and office space across from a sports arena. He then opened and ran a live music venue with national touring acts. He has since graduated to develop other mixed use real estate development projects and establish multiple partnerships that have impacted Trenton and other areas. Current development projects in his portfolio include a 6000 SF mixed use development in downtown Trenton, a 10 unit change of use residential condominium project in Princeton and an 8000 SF artist studio and gallery building in partnership with Isles, Inc and Trenton Downtown Association, and several residential rehab projects for sale and for rent in Mill Hill, Berkeley Square, Hillcrest and Villa Park. Pott continues to own and manage residential, retail, office and parking projects that include more than 50 tenants. As a broker, Roland Pott has worked with commercial brokerage clients and investors since 2003 when he first earned his sales license. He has leased or sold over 100 properties on behalf of clients including offices in the Statehouse Historic District, a number of restaurants and liquor licenses, a series of bank owned properties in Central New Jersey, a cleaning plant, a gym, a pharmacy, a sculpture foundry, a masonic temple, warehouses, multifamily residential properties, medical offices etc. Mr. Pott served as President of the Old Mill Hill Society representing one of Trenton's downtown historic districts and chaired the board of the Trenton Downtown Association, Inc. from 2020-22. He Co-Chaired the Mayor's Trenton Train Station Advisory Committee, served on the Trenton Green Team and served on various boards including the MidJersey Chamber of Commerce, Isles, Inc., I Am Trenton Community Foundation and Artworks. He was born in New York City, received a Ba in English from Reed College in Portland, OR in 1995 and now resides in a historic house in the Mill Hill neighborhood of Trenton. He has a son and a daughter aged 18 and 16, coached a middle school cross country team, completed two full Ironman triathlons and enjoys competitive running and tennis. He also enjoys fine art, dance and travel.
