Poor quality of life at Riverparc
There are several significant quality of life issues with Riverparc.
First the good:
* Large apartments
* Easy access to waterfront / view
* Responsive maintenance team
And the bad:
* Units don’t come with enough lighting. We had a 2 BR and there were *3 total lights* not including bathrooms. There’s 1 in the entryway, 1 in the kitchen, and 1 in the living room. No lights in either bedroom. It is very dark
* Inefficient HVAC. Our electric bills were $500+ in the summer
* Very loud appliances.... Between the loud HVAC and gas-fired water heater (in unit) - I routinely measured 70 dB in my living room (far away from said appliances). That is as loud as a vacuum cleaner or traffic noise from inside a car - ALL the time. And that's without the dishwasher/laundry machine going.
* Internet in conference rooms too slow to, you know.. have a video conference call
* Nothing to do in the neighborhood. It feels very isolating. I was friendly with a neighbor but saw her a total of 3 times
