Apartment Issues
We lived here from May 2022 to May 2024.
* Limited Free Parking: very little parking for the number of apartments, and a lot of the space is used for paid covered parking spots. If you come home later at night it is very hard to find a spot to park. There is no street parking around the apartment complex either.
* Slow Repairs: Our A/C unit broke and it took several weeks to repair. We created a maintenance request, and then had to repeatedly follow up with the front office for... the repair to happen. They would tell us a repair person would be by on a certain day, then no one would come, and we would have to call to follow up and schedule again. We also had several maintenance requests that were canceled after no communication with office staff.
* Poor Property Maintenance: There are broken lights around the property, as well as dog poop, garbage, debris left behind by maintenance personnel, etc. The property should be better maintained for the price.
* Bad Communication: Office staff do not communicate well with each other. Several times we gave paperwork to one person in the office, and then another person in the office called to ask for it. We had similar problems with lease signing and lease renewal.
* Apartments Poorly Insulated: The apartments get very hot during the summer, meaning the air conditioning needs to be run constantly.
* Frequent Need to Enter Apartments: There are semiannual inspections or blind repairs or vent cleanings or bug spraying at least once a month. They do not give a specific day and time that these repairs will take place; they will say they will take place over a given week or a few days. This means that if you have a pet they will need to be kenneled for the entire time period, or if you work from home you will need to be ready for an interruption during that time.
* New Rules and Fees After Moving In: After moving in they added a mandatory internet service with a monthly payment after we moved in. The internet fee is not optional, and costs more than similar internet plans. They also added Amazon package lockers, which have a monthly fee if you want to receive your packages. They also said they would be building a dog park inside the apartment complex, which never happened, and was never mentioned again. Lee mas

I like my actual apartment. However, issues are piling up.

Non-optional fees continue to grow as the rent goes up. Typical corporate landlord playbook: we pay $25+ for a "trash valet." We've just been told we suddenly have to pay $69 a month for their Internet provider, no option to opt out and use what we've been using before. Other CAM fees continue. Finding a "free" parking spot is an issue, but there are plenty of covered spots you can pay for. The prices are getting nauseatingly high....

Packages are often difficult to get. They arrive at the front office and then are never seen again. I've seen the woman in the front office threaten eviction to people who complain about missing packages - according to her, keeping track of packages is not their concern. However at the same time, we're not allowed into the mail room to find our own packages.

The gates are often broken. The key fobs we were given apparently do nothing.

We have no idea when maintenance has come in to work on something. In previous apartments, we'd get notices if they came in and tried to fix something for a work order. Here they just come and go with no notices given.

There's plenty of empty apartments here. Grotesque. Lee mas

Management is awful, rude, and treat the tenants as if they must do what management wants them to do because they signed a lease and not as if they are there (and paid to be there) to help you... Instead they police you for every little infraction. Too many decorations outside your door? notification. Things they won't do or won't do in a timely manner: fix the gates (they WILL break again), get the pool open (it will close again, does every year and apparently its a thing), get rid of pests,... fix the steps, make more parking spots (they actually took parking spots away when there already wasn't enough??). The posts on here that name a particularly person as being "good" in the front office - are probably fake and written by them or their friends. So I wouldn't trust that at all. Honestly it's a little scary how the owner must read these and defends them but blows off their tenants... yikes. Run away from here. Lee mas

I rented here last year from Vianey. The clubhouse was quickly closed for work. The pool also. Yo my surprise it wasn’t repair… it was remodel! It is very lovely. The pool is beautiful and all new furniture and like 20 shade umbrellas! It was frustrating to have everything closed if I’m honest. But now that I know why, I’m very pleased. These ladies are very helpful here. Every time I pick up a package all three of them are offering to help me at the same time. Broadstone is an oasis in the... desert. Lee mas

The management here are professional and friendly. Lauren made us feel welcome and we love the renovation upgrades! Definitely rent here!
