My roommate and I live a dicey area in Newburgh, NY - once known as the "murder capital New York." Newburgh gets a bad rep, and rightfully so. However, we have grown to love this town. Our gorgeous apartment is located in an old factory turned apartment building. We have 7 foot windows, a high ceiling and 2 full baths (which was a real game changer for us). The living room is spacious with deep red walls and a gray accent wall. Wooden floors in the living room, hallway and first bedroom and... beautiful tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.
