The Fields Apartments

I currently live here. The pot and cigarette smell just permeate everything. Even on the clothes in my closet. Landlord will do nothing about it.

The management here does not take you seriously. They are incredibly rude when you express valid concerns. When I first walked into two different apartments shown to me as options when I was moving in, both were absolutely disgusting. Half empty liquor bottles and trash everywhere, VERY unclean bathrooms with the toilets caked with dried urine on the outside and around the floor. The renovations are a lie. The paint on the walls was very poorly done with the old paint not being completely... covered and showing in patches, the new tile put in the bathroom cracked off and peeled off the floor from only walking on it, it was so badly done. The heater broke, landlord didn't fix it. Had a couple roaches, she said she would send someone but no one came. Does NOT have washer or dryers. She will not return your security deposit. Do not make the mistake of living here.

This is the worst place to live. If I could give no stars I would. The lady who manages this place is rude and unprofessional. She constantly lies and says racial remarks to the tenants, when you can talk to her. She is not good at returning calls or texts until several days later, and after 9 p.m. she looses the money orders you send in to pay your rent, and then threatens eviction. The apartments look nothing like what is on the website. When I moved in I had to clean and was promised blinds... and a carpet cleaner, which I never received. My air conditioner doesn't work and hasn't for 2 months and yet she refuses to fix it. Please find anywhere else to rent from and save yourself the hassle of dealing with this management. Lee mas

The management here is HORRIBLE. It is very difficult to get ahold of the woman who manages contact with residence, and when you do, she is incredibly rude and very unprofessional. It takes a minimum of three days to get a response, regardless of the time you contact. Also the pictures on this site are very misleading. When I moved in, the apartment wasn't cleaned at all. There was dirt and grime in every room. I had to spend two whole days cleaning before I felt comfortable enough to move my... belongings in. The "renovations" that are advertised are limited to a coat of paint (very poorly done) and new carpet (which isn't too bad). Most troubling is the amount of crime. Vandalism in the parking lot is a serious problem. The parking lot, in addition to being unsafe, is also in desperate need of repair, and management has no desire to fix it. The only positive I have about this place is the low rent (which I am willing to pay more now for a nicer place where I don't have to worry about safety) and the location. "Smoke-free" is not true in the slightest. Any time after 5, and the whole place smells like weed. And people may not smoke in the apartments, but they do it right outside their doors, so cigarette smell and smoke is still a problem. Oh, and very troubling (and what should be illegal if it isn't) is that my apartment has no functional smoke detectors. One was completely taken down, and the other does not work. Lee mas
