Ongoing Safety Issues Ignored by Management
I’ve lived at The FiveTwo at Highland for over a year and a half, and I’ve had multiple serious safety concerns that were consistently met with delays, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of urgency from management.
Most recently, I experienced a water leak coming through a ceiling light fixture directly above my shower — a clear electrical hazard. I shut off the breakers myself and contacted emergency maintenance. Hours later, someone arrived and turned the power back on without inspecting the... fixture, then told me it would be fixed “tomorrow.” When I voiced concern, I was told it “should be fine,” but they refused to provide anything in writing. I later confirmed with an electrician that the circuit should not have been re-energized without proper inspection.
This wasn’t an isolated case:
My storage unit was broken into, and it took days for the lock to be replaced — even after I filed a police report.
A previous plumbing concern that could have led to a pipe burst was met with slow, dismissive action.
Packages are routinely stolen, and car break-ins are a known issue — with little to no proactive response from management.
I’ve kept a full paper trail of these incidents. It’s clear that resident safety and security are not prioritized here. If you're considering moving in, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere — especially if you value basic safety and reliable maintenance.

Your concerns, particularly those involving safety and emergency maintenance, are... extremely serious and absolutely should have been addressed with the urgency and care they deserve.
We sincerely apologize for the handling of the water leak incident, and we understand how concerning it must have been, especially when it involved an electrical hazard. Your feedback about the response you received will be reviewed in detail with our maintenance and management teams to ensure that safety protocols are followed correctly and consistently moving forward.
We are also sorry to hear about the break-in to your storage unit and other concerns you've mentioned, including delays in plumbing repairs and package theft. These are issues we never want our residents to experience, and we regret that our response fell short of expectations. While we do have security measures in place, we clearly need to reassess our approach to resident safety and communication.
