Assembly at Historic Heights

Each year I lived here the apartment got progressively worse. Garage break ins and stolen cars and tires are frequent. So is the elevators breaking down. When we were preparing to move out, all three elevators in the main building were broken and management told us that we had to figure a way to get all of our stuff out of the third floor no matter what, or else they'd fine us for not vacating in time.

When I asked to receive a copy of our lease agreement managements response was -...

"Unfortunately, you will not be getting this by the end of the day as we are currently understaffed at the moment. We are dealing with office matters at the moment as well and ask that you do take this into consideration. We will be sure to follow up with you sometime this week once we are able to produce you with that policy."

Are you surprised to learn I never received a copy of it?

They brand themselves as a luxury apartment, but no luxury facility will ever speak to its residents the way this management team speaks to theirs.

The property is nice enough for the rent. The location is its best asset. Sadly, the apartment management is disengaged and lacks responsibility. The elevators seem to always be inoperable, and cars get broken into in the garage.

This apartment complex boasts to be one of the best in the area, but you don't want to live here unless you want your car broken and your bikes stolen.

They don't have any surveillance system to prevent any crime at all. It is really frustrating when Manager don't even return your calls to know what is the problem.

Service request system is very poor. My AC has been broken 3 times since I moved in 4 months ago.

This place was a nightmare, stay away. Everything from elevators that don't work to safety to roaches crawling on the floor. The office staff isn't helpful and they don't treat maintenance well at all. Use your money elsewhere, there are plenty of other apartments in the Heights that will suit you better than this place

I am probably the crazy exception.... but.... I currently cannot stay in my unit for the 3rd straight night. I am now going on three days of having to sleep at my office.

Management decided to epoxy the floors of several units on my floor without notice. There have been terrible fumes in my apartment and the surrounding units. My neighbors have told me that they have been using wet towels to seal their door and opening the windows to get fresh air. It is unsafe. I stayed in my unit for a few... hours the first night and experienced severe headache and nausea.

Management acknowledged the issue and said they are trying to ventilate the floor but I myself have seen no such effort. I cannot say what they may have done.

They have not offered me to temporarily stay in another unit, to pay for a hotel, or at the very least refund some rent. Now that it is the weekend, the leasing office has also been no help as they told me that they cannot reach management or maintenance. The property manager has not responded to my messages since yesterday.

To be fair the units are very nice. But I would submit to you if it is worth your health... for me it is not. Lee mas
