Parkview Towns Townhomes

There are many good things about Parkview townhomes so this review is a warning of the cons for potential future renters.

1) Parkview requires a 2 month (!) notice to leave. We bought a house, closed & moved within 30 days and still had to pay an additional month rent per our rental agreement. We signed the lease so knew ahead of time what we were getting into but it still feels predatory.

2) Parkview requires you pay to repaint the entire townhome if you put holes in the wall and does not... let you repaint yourself. This cost us about $700. Again, feels unfair and predatory. They also require you to pay for professional cleaning and carpet cleaning upon move out. In my experience with rentals this is the landlord's responsibility but at parkview they require the tenant to pay for all of turnover.

3) Parkview collects utilities per new laws from the city of Lindon. Even tho we weren't living in the unit, we were charged a full month of utilities for our final month, even though the actual amount should have been less.

4) I emailed the manager Jim to get clarification on our final bill as not only did we not get any of our deposit back, we were also charged $500 on top of it for misc items - cleaning & utilities etc. I sent multiple emails and didn't receive a response. Then I was SENT TO COLLECTIONS. Without any warning!

Lovely homes and location but be aware what you are getting into.
