Manor House Apartments

I have loved my experience at Manor House after several years. The apartments are beautiful and charming, and management is kind and responsive. Del Ray is a terrific neighborhood to live in as well.

We have fallen hard and fast for our new apartment! We absolutely love it here! It’s beautiful. The property manager is very helpful and responsive to any and all concerns. We would recommend living here 1,000 times over.

Beautiful apartment, amazing location - ruined by horrible management.

I lived here for a little over two years and loved my actual apartment. The space was beautiful, full of charm and character, and the neighbors were great. The location truly can’t be beat. But management is passive and not dog friendly at all.

There are zero amenities - just shared laundry - and the building had recurring bug problems. Worst of all was the management. Olivia, the building owner, was notorious for... videotaping tenants and Kelly from Chapman Management was rude, unprofessional, and completely unreachable for months at a time. They were consistently dismissive and made every interaction feel hostile. The only bright spot was Melinda, the leasing manager, who was kind and responsive.

They advertise this as a dog-friendly building, but it’s absolutely not. I had multiple disturbing encounters with both Olivia and Kelly regarding my dog, and they made it clear pets were barely tolerated. Pets aren’t allowed on the grass at any time If they are, you will be photographed and your lease will be threatened. I know many other tenants were required to carry their dog to the grass area several hundred feet away from the building.

I have lived at Manor House for over two years and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to live close to Old Town Alexandria. It is conveniently located between two major metro stops, with several restaurants and coffee shops a short walking distance away. Management is responsive and takes care to meet residents’ needs. It truly feels like you’re part of a community.

I’ve lived at Manor House for years, and I really like my bright first floor apartment. From my apartment, I’m close to great restaurants, and I have walked to Art on the Avenue and other fun Del Ray events. I know a lot of my neighbors since the building is full of friendly people. The building is well cared for and the hallways are cleaned every weekday. There are always flowers in the garden at the front doors. The staff in the office are helpful, and maintenance has taken care of things in... my apartment right away when I’ve needed them (which hasn’t been often).
I highly recommend Manor House Apartments if you are looking for a place to live with nice neighbors and friendly, responsive management. Lee mas
