If you're considering moving to Wellington Apartments, I strongly recommend visiting and inspecting the unit beforehand. Here are some important points:

Separation Between Properties
Trove Apartments are not affiliated with Wellington, despite their close proximity. When I moved in during 2023, I was confused because the building displays a large Trove sign. I wasn’t told they are separate. The Trove shuttle services both locations, with Trove on S. Ross Street.

Living Experience at Wellington... Apartments
I rented a one-bedroom on the north side for two years, near the leasing office. While the front office is clean, the building is old. I encountered issues like occasional sightings of mice and roaches, persistent marijuana odors, and very thin walls—meaning noise from neighbors and ongoing construction was constant. I also experienced frequent clogged drains with black, foul-smelling tar, and noise from children riding scooters in hallways.

Apartment Inspection and Expectations
It’s important to thoroughly inspect apartments before signing. I was shown a remodeled unit but was assigned a unit next to a dog park, resulting in early-morning barking.

Facilities and Amenities
The gym is outdated, poorly maintained, and many machines are dirty or broken. The gym bathrooms have a sewer smell.

Parking and Internet Fees
Initially, there were no visitor parking fees, but I was later told visitors would be charged $5 daily—without prior notice or agreement. The building recently added internet, included in your rent for an extra $68, with no choice of provider. The cost is likely higher than independent options, around $65/month.

Building Control and Management
Heating and A/C are centrally controlled, limiting individual adjustments, which can be inconvenient.

Staff and Management
Staff, especially the property manager, have been generally unfriendly and unhelpful. Keith was the only staff member consistently supportive.

Final Thoughts
I’m finally moving out this year and don’t recommend Wellington Apartments for those seeking a quiet, well-maintained environment. Always inspect thoroughly and ask questions before signing.

Large apartments for the price and not a bad location. Overall management was pretty bad. Maintenance wouldn’t fix an issue that I had with my window until I complained about it repeatedly for months. The package room is a disaster. Almost every package I had delivered went missing. I stopped having packages delivered to my apartment after 6 months. The staff were nice, but there were still rampant issues. The noise was also really bad, including people screaming at each other late at night,... kids running up and down the halls and very loud music. The cops were at the building all the time. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend living here despite the good size of the apartments and price. Lee mas

First and foremost, the management team at Wellington has been exceptional. Their professionalism, promptness, and willingness to go above and beyond have truly made my stay enjoyable. Whether it's addressing maintenance requests or providing useful information, they have consistently demonstrated... their commitment to resident satisfaction.

Speaking of maintenance, I must commend the maintenance staff for their outstanding work. They are always quick to respond and resolve any issues that arise. It's comforting to know that there is a reliable team in place to ensure the functionality and comfort of the apartments.

The amenities offered at Wellington are truly impressive. The well-maintained swimming pool, fitness center, and community lounge are fantastic additions that make living here even more enjoyable. It's evident that the management team has put a lot of thought into creating a welcoming and vibrant community for residents.

One aspect that deserves special mention is the location of the apartment complex. Wellington is situated in a prime area, close to various shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment options. The convenience of having everything within reach has been a significant advantage for me.

Furthermore, the sense of community at Wellington is remarkable. The friendly and diverse neighbors have made it easy for me to settle in and feel at home. It's wonderful to be part of such a warm and welcoming environment.

I cannot recommend Wellington enough. The management team's dedication, the excellent maintenance service, the exceptional amenities, and the vibrant community all contribute to making this apartment complex a truly fantastic place to live. Very spacious apartments. Wonderful, professional, front end staff and maintenance staff. They really do you go above and beyond. I have wonderful neighbors on my floor. We all look out for each other that’s a plus.

The few things that I definitely feel like I need to improve are people leaving trash on the floor inside of the trash room instead of putting it down the trash chute. That’s going to bring rodents and I just feel like that definitely needs to be addressed and stopped.

Also,... people not picking up after the dogs. It’s absolutely disgusting and people should be fined if they’re caught doing it . And my last biggest complaint is when dealing with a noisy neighbor and you bring it to someone’s attention numerous times, and nothing gets resolved to alleviate the situation. Lee mas
