Midtown is Sacramento’s trendy district just a few blocks from Old Sacramento. Set between the Elvas Freeway and 16th Street, Midtown houses a diverse restaurant scene and a historic park in the laid-back, walkable setting of urban Sacramento. Along 21st Street and J Street is where you’ll find most of the neighborhood’s restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and more, along with Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park, a restored fort that puts on exhibits and displays that depict pioneer life. There is an incredible variety of apartments for rent in Midtown Sacramento, including upscale lofts and modern condos along with long-standing townhomes. The area is imminently walkable, but proximity to the freeway and Highway 50 makes commuting by car to the rest of the city easy.
