El Camino

El Camino Apartments came under new management on April 1st of 2017. Since the new ownership took over tenants cannot get ANYTHING fixed, no matter how small. Manager (and I use this term loosely) ignores all requests and says that nothing can be done without management approval. One tenant went without a working refrigerator for over two weeks. All apartments/tenants are not treated equally. Ninety percent of the apartments have dead bolts and she refuses to install them on the others without... approval. When she is asked who the owners are and how to get in touch with them she refuses to say. The first two months after they took over was spent solely on renovating her own personal apartment and rebuilding the office. The apartment she currently lives in had already been redone by previous manager before he moved out. Office is only open M-F from 9 to 5:30 which means if you have a job you can forget about talking to her during business hours. When you call the two phone numbers which we were given you are greeted with "Clearwater Palms" not El Camino Apartments. Strangely when I look at reviews for Clearwater Palms I see that they are having the same problems. Management also enters the apartments whenever they see fit without giving tenants any warning. When I confronted her about this she apologized but it is still occurring. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW. I have tried several avenues to try to reach out to the new owner but for some reason this seems to be impossible. If this review reaches the owner I hope that he (Elvis Ramon or Jeffords Investment Group LLC) will have the courtesy to try to fix the problems. Also, why is the address listed as 1251 when it has always been 1255 Jeffords ST. A lot of things are not adding up! If anyone who reads this review can reach this gentleman and let him know what is going on please do so. There is good closet space. The rent is 730 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath which WORKS for a family on a fixed income.
