VICKIE / ANDREA ARE TERRIBLE!!!!
I would strongly recommend thinking twice before renting at Preserve at Riverwalk. My experience with the management office has been incredibly frustrating from the very beginning.
When I first moved in, my lease was written incorrectly and they even spelled my last name wrong. I was also advertised two months of free rent, yet during one of those months they attempted to charge me rent anyway. When I did not pay because it was supposed to be part of the advertised free-rent period, I came home... to a 3-day eviction notice on my door. As a single mother with a baby at the time, seeing an eviction notice on my home because of an error on THEIR end was terrifying and completely unacceptable. The situation became such a mess that they eventually had to write an entirely new lease.
Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. Communication with the office has been one of the worst parts of living here. When there is an actual issue that needs to be resolved, managers avoid you, do not return phone calls, and make it extremely difficult to get a straight answer.
Most recently, I have been trying to complete a roommate separation/lease change for over 4 MONTHS. I no longer live at the apartment, and despite repeatedly trying to get this handled properly, I have been ignored and avoided. On top of that, they have been attempting to move forward with a lease renewal involving my name even though I have not given permission or signed a renewal. It is at the point of me having to speak to their corporate manager at RAM Partners to get answers.
I understand that mistakes happen, but there is a huge difference between an occasional mistake and a repeated pattern of incorrect paperwork, poor communication, ignored calls, and serious lease issues that go unresolved for months. A leasing office is dealing with people’s homes, finances, credit, and legal obligations—these things should be handled carefully and professionally.
After everything I have dealt with, I would not recommend Preserve at Riverwalk. Document everything, keep copies of every lease and email, and get everything in writing. I wish I had known how difficult it would be to get management to address issues once they arose.
