Welcome to Townplace where you get the “Landlord Special”. Very dingy outdated apartments for a steep price. From the moment we moved in we had water leaks in the ceiling which caused mold, leaks in the kitchen flooring, and leaks behind the bathroom walls which caused mold as well, didn’t have a working dryer for 4 months and when I brought up it was a hazard blowing hot air into the walls with a blockage, the front desk didn’t seem to care. I absolutely loved the maintenance staff, I… understand they get busy and all, but the front staff seemed to have an attitude and didn’t know how to tend to serious issues. When we moved out we left the apartment in pristine condition, cleaner then when we moved in, but they tried to charge us for carpet replacement claiming urine stains. As they stated in response “the suggestion to test for urine stains in the carpet pad seems unwarranted and unjust” . But yet they are trying to make false charges. I pointed out the carpet was not in new condition when I moved in and they stated it was, I had photo proof that there were clear as day black stains on the front and dining room in some spots, but was told it was part of the brown mutual tones carpet design. It was clearly not and any person in their right mind could tell. They refused to do a move out inspection which IS in the lease and they said it wasn’t. And refused to give us a call with someone who can help, they keep mentioning third party after third party and it’s just a circle of blaming who to talk to about the charges. They said we “exaggerated” the situation which is very untrue, I don’t mind paying for actual damages I cause, but I didn’t and we didn’t have animals that urinated. I also from time to time smelled smoke coming from our vents. It’s sad cause I figured we could handle things but the front office was so rude from the start when we asked to speak to someone who could help. The only good thing about these apartments were the pool and kids park, and maintenance. Our dealings with the office staff were great during the application and approval process. Amanda and Bree were extremely patient and very helpful to us during this process in that dealing with the screening company was not the easiest. We are very happy with our apartment and have been living here a little over a month.
