Ant Infestation Nightmare
We originally chose Apex for the location and the great service from Jonathan and Rachel. Maintenance (Angel and Carlos) was helpful at first, but things went downhill fast. Our first unit had a constant window leak that was never fixed, and we were moved to another building where rent went up even though the issue wasn’t our fault.
The new unit was worse: ants coming from vents, outlets, windows, even the bedroom. Pest control, roofers, and AC vendors came out, but nothing changed for months.... Maintenance wiped mold instead of fixing it, calls went unanswered, and other tenants were dealing with similar pest issues.
The only people who truly helped were Carlos and later Doug, who tried their best, but the problems never fully went away. We eventually broke our lease after still finding ants on counters and even the bed. The office didn’t respond to our emails and still charged full break-lease fees, even claiming we “never gave notice.”
For what we paid, the lack of maintenance, communication, and accountability was unacceptable. We’re relieved to be out and do not recommend living here.
