Loved Contempo Lane

I lived at Contempo Lane for approximately 2 1/2 years. The entire time I had a great experience with both the apartment & the management. The management is very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any need I had. The apartment was just what I needed, clean, quiet, within my budget and the environment felt very safe and my neighbors were friendly.

I had heard many bad reviews of this property under a prior name and management and had been cautious when moving in, but I had absolutely no… problems and loved my experience living there. I would not have moved out if I had not bought my own home.

Home again.

We lived at this property about two years ago when it was called by a different name. There were a few issues mainly because of the company that owned the property and the property manager not willing to fix situations. Since then the property has undergone new management and new ownership in which many of the problems have been fixed and I am happy to call it home again.

Nice complex older buildings

The complex has recently undergone a full renovation and looks amazing. Unfortunately there are some corners they have cut in the process. To start with the buildings were built in the early 70's and are wood framed between the lower and upper floors therefore I hear everything my upstairs neighbors do.whether they are having a normal conversation, fighting or just walking around I hear it and I hear it loud and clear. My cabinets in the unit look good on the outside but upon looking at them… further they just refaced the cabinets and changed the counter tops leaving 1980's particle board for the actual cabinets and drawers which are falling apart. Parking is a real hassle especially if you work later than a 9-5 job.The units are not insulated very well and we have had a mold problem in the storage closest if the door is not left open. This complex is close and convenient to a lot of Dunedin attractions but in my opinion is not worth the money they are asking. I have lived at this complex for a few years before during and after the renovations and will not renew my lease next time around. I wish the new management company would have spent a few extra dollars and made this complex worth he money they are asking for rent.

Hello, speaking for the management team, we hear you loud and clear (no pun intended) and we appreciate your feedback. We knew that this multi-million dollar rehab project was going to be a tough one but we had a great community with great bones to… work with. We greatly appreciate that you stayed with us through the conversion, seeing the HUGE difference from our old apartment to the new remodeled. Unfortunately was nothing we could do about the flooring for upstairs, although we did add extra padding and thicker carpet to help the situation. Sometimes you may hear upstairs residents and sometimes you won't. I do want to stress that we do not have a mold issue. If there was a mildew buildup it was from older apartments not venting the dryers outside. So, we installed new stacked washer/dryers with the venting leading outside.
Again, we certainly appreciate you staying with us and we wish there was something we could do to help your stay be a little longer. If there is anything we could do please don't hesitate to stop by the leasing office or give them a call. In whatever your decision is, have a happy new year and best wishes.
