Cross Keys Apartments

I have been a long time tenant of Cross Keys- It used to be a senior community and rents were kept low in exchange for a fed tax break but the rents are no longer low. Even though I have a lease agreement, my rent went up $400 this year alone!!! They do not keep their word at all. The last increase of $262 came with no official notice so it was a total shock I was not prepared for. Disgusting- I am now paying the same as new tenants with fully upgraded apartments even though they have not… done anything in my apartment for 12 years. There is no client appreciation or loyalty. Everyone wants to leave but it's hard to find anyplace to go because Florida has allowed the housing market to be completely out of control. But people are moving in and back out at record speed. Used to be a great place when it was senior housing with a tax break that kept the rents affordable. They have increased rents tremendously since they lost the tax incentive. They also have an 'escalation clause' in their lease agreements where they can raise rents whenever they want- and have increased it more than $100 within one year. Different residents pay different prices. Used to be a very friendly neighborhood but like it used to be. No place for kids to play or hang out. The access to major highways ,local supermarkets, shopping malls, hospitals, restaurants and so many more is fantastic and within minutes. Access to public transportation is also within reach. The staff and crew is very helpful an efficient. The common areas are well maintained. The amenities are wonderful. love my new home, because there's no place like home.

Even though this community is a 55 community, it is wonderful for those with families. It's in a nice area with walking distance to a grocery and schools. Not far from main road either to get you to where you need to go. The staff and neighbors are all friendly and treats them like family.
