The Filthiest, Most Neglected, and Unsafe Property I’ve Ever Lived In
I’ve lived in apartments across New York, Arizona, and Florida, and I’ve even stayed in places throughout Europe — and I can honestly say this is by far the filthiest, most poorly maintained property I’ve ever encountered. The level of neglect here is shocking.
The hallways, elevators, and common areas are consistently dirty and visibly ignored. Landscaping neglected, floors are stained and grimy, debris sits for days, and corners collect hair, trash, dog crap, urine and dirt without ever being... properly cleaned (see photos). It’s clear that routine cleaning either isn’t happening or isn’t being supervised.
The maintenance staff appears to have no standards for cleanliness, and management clearly does not inspect the property regularly. Trash is frequently left in hallways, abandoned furniture sits in common areas, and nothing is addressed unless residents repeatedly complain.
To make matters worse, there has been vandalism carved directly into the walls, including swastikas, offensive and coded graffiti such as “1312,” which is widely recognized as an anti-authority slogan. This has been left untouched for weeks. No repainting. No cleaning. No acknowledgment (see photos).
Despite this being a no-smoking property, the smell of smoke — including marijuana — is constant. The odor regularly fills the elevators and breezeways, often billowing through common areas. It’s unavoidable and makes the building feel dirty, poorly managed, and unhealthy. A no-smoking policy means nothing if it is never enforced.
Safety is also a serious concern. There is frequent suspicious activity in stairwells and common areas, and I no longer feel safe living here. I have personally captured concerning behavior on my doorbell camera in shared spaces, and management does nothing to address it. This is not an environment that feels safe for families or children.
Even the exterior of the property reflects the same neglect — dead landscaping, loose mulch everywhere, and no regular upkeep.
I’ve filed complaints before, and nothing changes. This review is my attempt to reach someone higher up — possibly at the corporate level — who might actually care about residents living in a clean, safe, and respectable environment. Not just management looking to rent empty units and sitting in the office all day.
I made the difficult decision to move from the property regarding these concerns and now they are going to issue a fee for not giving the proper notice before move out.
