Took deposit and sent a collections bill
My husband and I lived here for two years and I can tell you it was awful. It took 5 months for someone to change the living room light fixture and when they did come out, they swapped it with one that had two broken sockets and one working one. The water line in the fridge was leaking for over a year, and they didn't replace the fridge until about a month before we left. Now we just got a bill in from a collections department in Ft. Walton for $3,700. No itemized paperwork, nothing, just the... bill.

Deposit
This apartment complex is not worth the money you pay for rent. It needs to be updated. The appliances are old. It takes maintenance along time to repair things. They find all kinds of ways not to get your deposit back. I do not know anyone that ever gets their deposit back. I do not recommend these rundown apartments to anyone.

Do Not Believe the Prices
The cable and water are not included in your rent. They charge extra. The rent is just a base price. No club house, no fitness area.

Do not rent from company
Do not rent from company. We moved into pelican Bay right before they got taken over by this company and it was a horrible experience. As first time renters I never wanted to rent again. They didn't take any of our complaints seriously, we had rats and they did not mind and maintenence informed me that several of the units had rats and he said "there just isn't much we can do about it" LIKE WHAT?!
getting our deposit back has been such a fight.. They have put me off for 2 weeks now.. Literally... the lady Whom deals with this business will not talk to me and they are charging $250 to paint our apartment when we had no damage to the paint. I paid to have the apartment deep cleaned before we moved by a company they suggested and they're stating they have to pay an outside company $150 for a cleaning. I'm so fed up with this company and I urge anyone thinking of moving here to rethink their decision. Please do not give this terrible company any business at any of their locations. The company itself is shady business.

Not worth the money
April 2012-April 2013. Our apartment was not like the model we looked at. In the kitchen, you couldn't read the temp on the oven settings because the stove was so old. We had to clean the apartment from top to bottom when we moved in because there was mold all around the place. When we asked for a different unit, they told us we would have to break our contract and sign a new one, meaning we would have to pay more money. Maintenance was a joke. 2 months after moving in, the wall in our bathroom... caved in. The toilet was also broken. It took about 3 months for them to come fix it. Nothing in the fitness room worked. Machines were missing pieces. The staff was friendly, but if I had to do it again, I would not live there.
