Ongoing issues never fixed
Update: We now moved out as of Jan 2026. After on going issues, management allowed us to break our lease with no penalties. We lived here for years, love this area and the overall feel and vibes but the problems never stopped. A roof leak that started in February 2025 still hasn’t been properly fixed to date. This is after multiple work orders, photos, and videos showing water running down the wall. Maintenance has come several times with a moisture meter, says they “can’t find the source,” and... then closes the request but the leak keeps coming back and has already damaged our belongings. Management told us to go through renters insurance tor reimbursement for our stuff but renters insurance won't cover issues that are not an accident.
Newer issue was washer not draining correctly leaving the clothes soaked and the maintenance person looking me in the eye saying that that was normal.
After we paid $500 out of pocket for our own professional mold inspection which we suspected due to water leak from dishwasher, management refused to accept our results and said they would do their own testing instead which took over a year to even happen, and we’re still waiting for the results to date. No results were received yet.
The dishwasher was another long battle we were told repeatedly it was “working fine” until it finally had to be replaced. Add to that roach problems in the kitchen (despite everything being spotless) and a dryer vent that blows directly into the bathroom, making it unbearably hot and full of lint during summer.
We’ve been patient, but the lack of accountability and communication from management has made living here stressful and exhausting. The only reason we stayed this long was because my husband’s job is within walking distance.
This building has potential, but until management starts taking residents’ concerns seriously, we cannot recommend The Brumby Lofts to anyone looking for a well maintained, professionally managed place to live. The headaches dealing with Management and maintainance by far outweighs how cool the place is
