The Summit at Heritage Apartments

Extremely disappointed with my move-out experience. Despite taking great care of my apartment and having a history of receiving full security deposits from previous rentals, this complex kept my deposit and charged additional fees for what appeared to be nothing more than normal wear and tear.

It feels like tenants are being used to cover routine maintenance costs rather than actual damages. Do NOT waste your money here.

I lived here for two years in two different units and should have switched when I had the chance. My first place had water damage to the ceiling and they threw a fan on it and painted over it and called it good . They gave my garage to someone else?! I paid $100 a month for it, not quite sure how that happened. I had to park my car outside during a winter storm because nobody came and shoveled the lot for a good week. Had stuff stuck on the carpets when moving in. The second place I was in had... spiders and bugs consistently in my place while I paid for pest control on a monthly basis. Had the whole sink leak when I first used it and went all over my kitchenware. Oh yeah not to mention I had MOLD on my shoes and didn’t know about it for a couple weeks. Never had a problem with noise until 6 months before leaving when a couple would be making noise and banging until 12:00 am most nights. I sent videos and nothing was done about it. This place has changed management at least 3 times and get worse Everytime. I have no idea why I renewed my lease but won't next time. The amount the post in the portal that is due for rent is paid in full every month early and the last two times I have gotten a nasty gram from the owners BAM that I still owe a balance and will be evicted if I don't pay ASAP.

They also have underestimated the amount of garbage by a long shot and the dumpsters are always overflowing with trash and refuse all... over the place this is common and happens at least several times a week.

The parcel lockers have been broke off and on for the past 2 years it is common to have a package delivered during the weekend and get an error when trying to get a package and they won't reboot it until the following week day.

Lawns are covered with weeds and dog poop everywhere.

Do NOT move here! I’ve had nothing but problems since living in this facility. They’ve gone through multiple different managements since I initially moved in and everyone of them have done everything they can to sneak in fees that they force you to pay or you get kicked out. They are not accommodating or cooperative with residents whatsoever. It’s definitely not worth the money.

We were promised additional kitchen cabinetry within a month of moving in. The apartment had a severe lack of kitchen storage without, and frankly, without the promise of these cabinets, the place is unlivable and we would not have rented. The first month passes, no word on cabinets. We complain and they said they hoped to have them installed in December (the 2nd month). December passes, no word. Complain again in January. Get a rent credit with the promise of continuing credits every... month until installed and the promise of buying temporary cabinets if we sent them a link. Sent them a link mid-February and got radio silence again. After reaching out two weeks later finally got a response that cabinets were still not ready to be installed and that they couldn't buy us cabinets without approval because of the cost (which was no more expensive than anything else available on Amazon). No mention of the continuing rental credits (which we haven't received). Place also had shoddy construction (gaps in flooring, incomplete coats of paint, significant settling of the building leading to wall cracks and cracks around windows), a master toilet that leaks like a sieve, even after maintenance.
