Camden at Bloomingdale

The fact that places like this require you to mutilate your animals is asinine and out dated. It’s absolutely disgusting.

We're going into our 9th year of living at Camden and hope to be here for many more. While the rents may be a little higher than some complexes in the area, we feel it's worth it. The units are well maintained, quiet, and feel very safe. The maintenance staff addresses any issues quickly and skillfully. The office staff is second to none. Most of the staff have been here at least as long as we have. We highly recommend Camden at Bloomingdale.

We are in a one bedroom at Camden at Bloomingdale. Our rent was 1040$ and the apt is 550 sqft. We were on the fence about paying so much for a tiny apt, but there are a lot of amenities. A month before our lease was up they told us that our rent was going up 110$ a month. I might be delusional, but 1150$ for a 550sqft apt without even a dining room area is a little ridiculous. Needless to say we are moving and I now ask every apt if that is reasonable Camden is raising the rent that much in... one year and they all say NO! We have since seen 3 apt complexes in the area with basically the same amenities and at 800sqft for less than 1000$. Read More

I would say Camden is very close to a perfect complex. The units are nice, plenty of parking (separate guest parking), they have a gym and a pool, plus it is in a great location.

The master bedroom easily accommodates a king-size bed with room to spare, bathrooms are average but have a built-in medicine cabinet and adequate cabinet/drawer space. Kitchen is definitely nice in the larger one-bedroom units, tons of counter space although the fridge and dishwasher are on the slightly smaller size... . Hasn't been an issue with two people but it might be a problem for people who like to keep a lot of stuff in the freezer. The patio/balcony is pretty nice since they do keep the grounds up and usually is a nice view depending on where your unit is.

The pool is a nice perk and the gym is always open and has plenty of equipment to keep you from having to go somewhere else.

The only minor thing I would say that keeps it from being perfect is the price. I get that management companies price units based on demand and going rent prices in the area, but it seems pretty steep here. If they threw in at least one utility with that rent like gas or water/sewage/garbage I would say there's a good value for that rent price.

We looked at a lot of places before picking Camden so I would definitely recommend it if it fits your budget. It's in a nice area, it has a great location and the other tenants are super friendly. I live in 2 bedroom 1 bath apartments at Camden, Bloomingdale. The apartment is good and spacious. It is very close to Meijer, Stratford Mall, Lifetime fitness. The service at Camden for any issues is quick. Once we had issue with washer pipe leaking the water and they were quick to fix. The apartment gym is ok and basic, swimming pool is there but it's not that good. The one I live in has Vinyl floor although the model home shown to us was for carpet, so I felt cheated there. Also, be careful... in parking in No permit spots as they are not explicitly listed. But overall I am satisfied with the apartment. Read More
