Horrible management

I relocated to Indiana for General Motors. This was the property suggested on one of our moving lists. For my fellow co-workers and those who will be moving here in the next two months do to the plant changes DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT RENT WITH NONE THESE PROPERTIES. I was a tenant who paid their rent before it was due and finished out a complete lease term and became month to month. When GM went on strike I reached out to the management"Leanne" specifically and advised her that I would be helping... with strike duties in another city and state. Therefore would be ending my month to month term. I was all paid up and advised her that I would be out by October 7th and was aware she would need to keep a portion of my security deposit. My wife was hospitalized on October 3rd. I reached out to Leanne again and advised her that the exact date I would be vacating the premises was the 7th which is the same day my wife was released from the hospital. I missed making it to the office because of the discharge from the hospital taking longer than expected but used the key drop to return the keys. The strike was national news so she was well aware of what was going on with the company and I explained the fact that the new strike location was over 8 hours away. Upon returning to Indiana it wasn't until I reached out to this management team to fill out paperwork to verify my previous address that LeAnne advised that not only had she kept my $1600 dollar deposit but that she had reported $202 dollars from October 1st-7th but that she also added $860 dollars for November. Save yourself the headache because their property is poorly designed as well. I was the first tenant to live there and not even 90 days in fixtures (light covers, medicine cabinets) and the kitchen cabinets had fallen off the ceilings and walls. I'm now in a three-bedroom house with more room and no connected walls and I feel much better about this city. I have placed this information at GM also that way none of my colleagues waste their time.
