Disappointing
We recently moved into this place with high hopes, as we were impressed by the pictures of a beautifully renovated apartment. During the initial showing, we were only shown one furnished classic unit, and of course we thought the renovated units would be even better. We specifically requested a renovated townhome, despite its higher rent, because we were seeking a new, modern living space.
To our disappointment, on the day we moved in, we found that the apartment was not clean at all. The only... "new" aspects were a few appliances; everything else appeared old and had been painted over dirt. We were then informed that the apartment was only partially renovated. We had to move in anyways cause we need it the place but we signed an agreement with management that promised would change fixtures and address numerous issues to make the apartment look newer.
However, the maintenance team failed to follow through. They repeatedly postponed scheduled maintenance dates and made excuses for not completing the work. We experienced a flooding incident due to malfunctioning toilets, and the management did not take any action to resolve the issue. Thankfully, the toilets unclogged themselves, as we could not depend on the maintenance team.
We have lost trust in both the management and maintenance teams. They have been unresponsive, unreliable, and all they make are fake promises. Do not consider about renting this property to avoid similar disappointing situations. We are currently seeking for legal advice, to put their hands on the situation
