The Tracery Apartments

I just moved out of The Tracery after living there for 6 years. I recently retired and moved back home to Nashville. During my time there, I had nothing but good experiences. The property was clean and always well maintained. Noise was never a problem and my neighbors were polite and helpful. It's so convenient to everything on that side of Lexington. I moved here about a month ago and only had bad experiences since day 1. On move in day maintenance did not remove the washer and dryer that was the previous tenants rented. So when Lowes came to install the washer and dryer that I purchased, they could not. Also when I moved in the walls looked like it had been scribbled on by a toddler. We told Gigi about this and she said that the walls had been painted before I moved in… a few hours later painters showed up. They got the scheduling wrong and... were suppose to be here before I had moved in. The AC unit was also not running properly on move in day and the apartment was 80-90 degrees for a few days until HVAC showed up. This was all day 1.

A few weeks later when it was time to pay rent, I signed up for the online payments a week ahead but never got a charge on my account. I contacted Gigi and she was not helpful in the slightest. She even sent me a late payment notice despite her knowing I was having trouble. When my roommate went to talk to Gigi we found out the system that the apartment uses was having trouble so many other residents were not able to pay rent. And so many other residents were given the late rent notice. Gigi also went so far to say that it’s the residents fault if rent wasn’t paid on time. Gigi could have been a lot more professional and not have gone off at my roommate.

The apartments at the tracery are very nice compared to other apartments in Lexington. But if you ever need to deal with management or maintenance it will be a nightmare.

I lived at The Tracery for about 2 years and absolutely loved it. It is such a nice, well kept property and the people that live in the apartments and surrounding neighborhood are so kind. It is a quiet, peaceful place without any through traffic. I lived in a first floor unit in building 7 that looked out to the brick wall. At first I was hesitant about this unit but actually ended up loving having the brick wall as almost a privacy wall with being on the first floor. Our unit still got a lot... of sunlight regardless and it was quiet and felt private. So if you are looking at the tracery, don't turn down a unit that looks out to the brick wall because you will be pleasantly surprised. Gigi was also a great property manager. My fiancé and I have each moved quite a bit while being college kids and moving from one place to another. This was probably the best experience we’ve both had over the last 4 years. Our application was processed quickly and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Not to mention how dog friendly the complex is. Our 2 bedroom is spacious, beautiful and modern. We love the open floor plan. We will be here for awhile!
