Reserves of Madison

My story is long but worth the read if you’re thinking of moving to this complex: In June of 2020 we moved here and already had issues, we had to wait a week for electricians to come in but come to find out, in total 4 outlets work. Oh well we made do, fast forward to our water bill slowly increased, we thought it was usage of washer and dishwasher but our once seventy dollar bill exploded into almost two hundred. The water company told us not to pay that amount and have the landlord/maintenance… find the leak. That took over a month before they came, they however didn’t find the leak so they called plumbers who showed up on their own time without warning or a notice, not only has the water not been fixed, our bill is over four hundred, my laundry room is gushing water, the entire apartment has so much moisture in the air so the mildew smell never leaves. Every time it rains, my porch door leaks and my living room floods, maintenance came and did not fix the problem simply went outside and said the hole was from the outside despite me trying to show that it was inside, so we have a huge spider and bug problem. There is mold growing under my sink which they saw with their own eyes however nothing was done. Mold growing behind my toilet that they saw, did nothing. Oh and let’s not forget the amenities you’re promised and paying for: BBQ picnic area, car wash area, private entries, private patios/decks, maintenance on site, clubhouse, fitness center, pool and you get none of it. It’s been two years and the pool has stayed closed, I’ve never seen any workout equipment, I was told there was a tanning bed but there isn’t. There are no picnic areas or grills set up for BBQ. Maintenance may be on site but miraculously when you call the phone just rings and you don’t get an answer. On the RARE occasion you do get in touch, the odds of something happening are slim.
The ground is unkept, despite kids and parked cars on the street people drive like they’re on the interstate, I’ve witnessed a dog get hit and the car kept going, I’ve seen kids almost get hit by cars just flying. There is trash everywhere, there is dog poop everywhere you walk despite poop bags being at our disposal..

You pay too much to live where the landlords don’t keep up or care for their tenants. Oh and let’s not forget the tenants who don’t take out their trash and leave it on their porches which bring bugs to your apartment that’s unsealed. Read More
