You can hear everything from other units on all sides, cheap owner

This wasn't built right - walls are super thin, can hear neighbors even just talking at normal volume. Chalk full of fresh-out-of-college people as well with ridiculous subwoofers that reach two units over/up/down in the building. No quiet enjoyment here. Elevator breaks down once a week and is a brand nobody has heard of. Doors are propped 90% of the time. Owner dings you on the way out for your security deposit for normal wear that any other owner would acknowledge comes out of the replacement... reserves. Don't be fooled here by cheaper rent - not worth it.

RUN AWAY. The walls are 6 inches thick, can hear everything. Seriously, who built this building?

I really think the owner of this building should be able to sue the contractor for how cheaply built it is - you can hear every word of your neighbor, which is annoying but tolerable at points. It's the countless number of people who decide they need to have subwoofers and turn them up loudly - you can literally hear the bass from three units away. Don't think that a top-floor unit will solve anything - you can hear everything on both sides of you AND below you. Actually, I'd venture to say... ESPECIALLY below you. Don't get fooled by the $300 discount on the rent versus comps with new appliances, there's no quiet enjoyment of life and the unit just gave me anxiety 24/7.

Do not live here if you plan to sleep, work from home, get general peace and quiet

Despite the great location in Southie (close to beach, Castle Island, bus stops, walking distance to bars but not too close), this building is such a disappointment. The walls/ceilings/floors are paper thin. You can hear every footstep of your neighbors, TVs even when at normal volumes, people talking, etc. It is enough to drive you insane. On top of that, while looking modern and sturdy, the appliances often break, building management is very slow to address issues, doors to the outside are not... secure (don't shut/lock properly). And good luck if anything breaks on the weekend, because the management company will not respond to you until Monday (if at all). The price and location may seem appealing, but do not be fooled, save yourself a headache and look elsewhere.

Great access to bus, great area, no amenities, THIN WALLS

Would be a 5-star review for location, price, size of units an finishes, but drops to 3 stars and ultimately a reason for moving out because of the very thin walls and lack of insulation in this building. There's a decent amount of turnover this first year and I have to imagine it's due to the noise in the building. Maybe we got unlucky, but the unit under us has a subwoofer to go along with their TV speakers that shouldn't be allowed in this building, it vibrates our window panes and isn't all... that loud necessarily - but you can hear voices from the room/unit next to you as if they are in the same room as you. I'm not sure if the developer self-performed on this or if they had a GC, but they should be entitled to a remedy for the lack of noise insulation put into this building. Unfortunately the ultimate reason we can't do another year here.
