How Is This Rating Determined?

12/7/18

Poorly run and managed, renter beware

On multiple occasions I asked to have features and or amenaties fixed, from leveling the poop table, to fixing a circuit breaker that was being leaked on and arcing dangerously, while I was standing next to it. On multiple occasions I was told they would not fix things, or they would drag their feet and take a month to fix safety issues. I inevitably had to contact the board of safety before they got their act together to fix it. While paying rent there, they had flea and mice problems, both in... my building and the other (ie: it wasn't me). During the winter Walden Park is / was too cheap to keep up with snow maintenance, so I often heard of people hiring handy men to shovel out their cars (even though they paid Walden Park to use their parking lots). When leaving, I paid for another "feature" they offer, cleaning up the apartment, again was let down by these paid features. They then charged me extra, because they had to clean the apartment. Yes, it's your property! It's your job to maintain it! You own it! If you had kept up with maintenance, there wouldn't have been safety issues with the space you rented to me!

In short, they have a lot of half-baked "features" that when you go to use, are broken or are with such large drawbacks. You are better off elsewhere. Save your money, save yourself the headaches.
