Great outdoor space

My favorite part of the community is the outdoor space. A pool with sun deck, hammocks, playground, volleyball, basketball, and even a dog park made it easy to enjoy time outside. There is even plenty of space to throw out a blanket in the grass and enjoy the day. There is also a gym, grills with tables, and a firepit. The apartment is great too. Updated appliances and tons of closet space. It is easy to grab the bus and get anywhere I needed to go. The staff is always so nice. I love visiting… the office and having a coffee or snack to chat with them. I would rent here again if I stayed in the area

I miss this place

My husband and I enjoyed living at this apartment complex for the past three years. While the property itself is getting up there in age, the units have been updated and are relatively comfortable. Sugarloaf has great amenities, like a gym, pool, basketball court, volleyball nets, and even hammocks for relaxing on sunny days. One of the biggest perks is the PVTA bus stop, with frequent service to Amherst and UMass Amherst, which makes getting around super easy. Fair warning: the buses to Amherst… operate on a reduced schedule when school is not in session.

Maintenance has been responsive any time we've needed them (which has been rare), and the property manager, Brooke, is fantastic. She and the rest of the leasing office staff (Abigail, Corryn, Jess, Kellie) are always friendly and helpful. My cats absolutely adore visiting the office; they get so much love (and treats!) from everyone there.

The team also goes out of their way to create a fun and welcoming environment for residents, with monthly giveaways and events throughout the year, including Popcorn Fridays! Plus, the office fridge is always stocked with sodas, snacks, and coffee for residents to enjoy.

If you've made it this far into the review, I can honestly say that this is the only apartment complex I had a hard time leaving, and it's all because of the wonderful staff.

Had a great tour there

I really enjoyed the on-site tour with Sadie—she showed me around the community and patiently answered all my questions. Sugarloaf is a very quiet neighborhood with ample parking, close to nature, and ideal for young professionals who have a car. There's a bus stop right on the property that goes directly to UMass and Amherst College, and the bus is free.

Great Experience

My stay at Sugarloaf Estates was fantastic. The leasing office and maintenance staff always responded to my concerns quickly and efficiently. They have great amenities for their residents and I loved how quiet the area was. I will miss the area and Sugarloaf Estates as a whole!
